CBS 19 - The Eye of East Texas News - TISD Officials Propose Location for New Griffin Elementary

Tyler Independent School District officials propose a location for the new Griffin Elementary School.
The plan is to build the new two-story campus on land already owned by TISD. It's next to Dogan Middle School near the corner of Broadway Avenue and 28th Street.
"We're actually intending on cutting 28th Street through Broadway, which will give us another access to Griffin Elementary and to Dogan," TISD Director of Facilities Tim Loper said. "We are anticipating a closure of Bois 'd Arc Street."
District officials will present plans for the Griffin campus at Thursday's board meeting.
