Cheerleader who says she was assaulted appears on CNN

Posted: Updated:

The former Silsbee High School cheerleader who accused two athletes of sexually assaulting her after a football game back in 2008 appeared on national tv last night.

The cheerleader and her father were only referred to be first name, appeared on Tuesday night's CNN "Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell." "Hillary" kept her head up through many court appearances.

"Hillary" would not cheer at a basketball game that one of the accused athletes was playing in.

That game was back in 2009. She was then taken off the squad.

In October, a federal appeals court ruled that "Hillary" did not have the right to refuse to cheer for a man who she claims sexually assaulted her.

One of the men accused eventually pleaded guilty guilty to a lesser charge of Class A assault.

He was given two years probation and a $2500 fine.

Hillary's father says his daughter is his hero, she has given him strength through this tough time.
