Update:

The deceased driver of the vehicle that caught fire is identified as Randy DeShawn Smith, 19, of Groveton Texas. Smith was attending Tyler Junior College.

TYLER (KYTX) -- At least one person is dead after a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of University Boulevard and Patriot Avenue. That's in front of the Stepping Stone School.

The driver of a small car died after the vehicle he was driving collided with an SUV, flipped and his vehicle caught fire.

Police have not said what the cause of the accident was.

University Boulevard is currently shut down between Gail Lane and Lazy Creek Drive.
