The principals of Mattie Jones Elementary and the St. Louis school support the idea to combine their two schools.
Both principals spoke favorably to Tyler ISD trustees about the idea, on the November 4th bond election.
If approved, the special need students from St. Louis would have their own wing at the school, with common areas in art classes, science labs, and the auditorium.
