Twenty-six emerging leaders from the United States have been selected as inaugural members of the Transatlantic Network 2020, a new program to improve international collaboration on global challenges and strengthen relations between the United States and Europe.
Tyler, Texas native, Kristofer Harrison is included in this group and has been identified as a notable young leader who will have a positive impact on the world in the years to come.
The Transatlantic Network 2020's members head to a week-long summit in Belfast and Dublin this weekend, ready to tackle problems like climate change, war and conflict, economic opportunity, and religious and ethnic tolerance.
The group will meet with Ireland's President Mary McAleese, discuss and debate solutions to strengthening our partnership with Europe, and develop action plans for the Transatlantic Network 2020's coming year.
This new program, which brings together 100 stand-outs, aged 25-35, from 22 North American and European countries, is supported by the British Council, the UK's international cultural relations organization.
