Dana has made East Texas her home for more than 10 years now and is excited to be in the homes of faithful East Texas viewers every morning on CBS 19 This Morning. She spent some time away from television news to take care of her twin boys and her little girl. Many of you may have followed Ford and Hayden's story after they came into the world 3 ½ months early. They are growing up and the light of their parents' eyes, along with their little sister, Hampton.
Over the last decade, Dana has covered some of the major stories that happened in East Texas. One of those that she will never forget is the day the shuttle disintegrated over East Texas. She was actually reeling from the flu that day, but knew how important that story was to East Texans, Americans and all over the world, really. She says it was surreal and terribly sad to see the shuttle debris scattered across East Texas… images she will never forget. She, along with dozens & dozens of other reporters, reported live from downtown Nacogdoches.
Dana is also very active in the East Texas community. Her passion lies with the March of Dimes after giving birth to her twins prematurely. Her family has twice been the ambassadors for March of Dimes events including the Walk for Babies and The Signature Chefs Event. She is also a member of the Junior League of Tyler and has served numerous times on the Mistletoe and Magic Committee, which helps raise valuable dollars for non profit agencies in Smith County.
Dana and her husband, Trey, spend most of their downtime enjoying their little miracles, Ford and Hayden and sweet, Hampton.
