Hit-and-run driver caused I-20 Kilgore cattle accident
The accident in which a cattle trailer overturned on Interstate 20 trapping over 60 head of cattle and killing several others was a hit-and-run, according to an update from the Kilgore Police Department.
The accident happened Nov. 17 around 5:30 p.m. on I-20 between the Highway 42 and Highway 259 exits. The investigation revealed that a pickup truck hit the trailer, causing it to overturn, and continued eastbound on I-20 without stopping.
The truck is described as a white pickup with black and gold pinstriping and lettering down the side. Witnesses believe this may have been a possible company truck that will have damage to the front driver's door.
