ARP - Over the summer, Arp safety Demarvion Overshown announced his verbal commitment to the University of Texas. Since verbal commitments are non-binding, players can change their mind at any point before they sign.

For Overshown, that wasn't going to happen. And on Wednesday, he made it official, signing his letter of intent with the Longhorns.

Overshown was a highly sought after recruit, picking up more than 20 offers from schools all over the country. ESPN has him ranked as hte 6th best player (regardless of position) in the state of Texas and the 2nd best safety in the country.

He's part of a top 5 signing class that the Longhorns will bring in next year. And he's ready to hit the field in Austin.
