Lindale woman arrested on murder, aggravated kidnapping after man's body left on side of road in December

LINDALE, Texas — A Lindale woman was charged Wednesday with murder and aggravated kidnapping in connection with the death of a man who was found in December on the side of a road near Overton.

Hannah Leigh McCartney, 30, was one of three people, including the victim, who allegedly robbed a resident in the 1400 block of East Fairmont Street in Longview on Dec. 15, according to the arrest warrant affidavit.

Longview police officers learned the resident of the home hired McCartney as a prostitute. During the encounter, McCartney, Ladarius Breon Bell, and Jared Freelen used firearms to steal the resident’s cell phone and go through his wallet, according to the affidavit.
