The 83rd Texas Rose Festival was bigger and better than ever this year.
Tyler native Mallory Kristin Curtis was crowned Rose Queen at a coronation ceremony Friday.
“It was a magical, a dream come true,” Curtis said.
70 girls from across the state graced the stage during the queen’s coronation. Each wearing dresses featuring major cities or world class museums.
People lined the sidewalks for the Rose Parade on Saturday to watch more than 120 floats, floats, and color guards march through the streets of Tyler.
In accordance with tradition, the Rose Queen and Duchess gathered for tea following the parade.
Capping off an elegant weekend fit for the city of roses and it’s queen.
