UPDATE: As of Thursday, the Boil Water Notice for Rusk customers on County Road 2206 has been rescinded. There is no need to boil water before consuming it.


A boil water notice has been issued for portions of Rusk for people who live on County Road 2206.

To make sure all harmful bacteria and other microbes are destroyed, be sure to boil and cool all water for drinking, cooking and ice making.

The water should be put at a vigorous boil then kept at that boil for two minutes.

If you are unable to boil your water or choose not to do so, you may purchase bottled water or get water from another suitable source.

People affected will be notified once the notice is lifted.
