UPDATE: The notice has been rescinded, people who live in the areas affected do not have to boil their water anymore.

A boil water notice has been sent by Pritchett Water Supply after a line break and reduced pressure in several parts of the Pritchett area.

The areas affected are Hwy 155 South, FM 1404, County Roads: Cherry Laurel, Chinaberry, Crabapple, Coconut, Holloway, Crepe Myrtle and portions of Locust and Scrub Pine.

People in the affected areas should boil their water before consuming it until further notice.

To destroy all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and making ice should be boiled and cooled before using it.

The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then kept that way for two minutes. Instead of boiling water, you can buy bottled water or obtain water from another suitable source.
