Marshall Police are searching for a suspect in connection with a robbery that left one person injured Saturday afternoon.
According to a preliminary investigation, a suspect entered the Boost Mobile stored in the 700 block of East Grand Avenue around 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon and attempted to rob the store. A business owner in a nearby store heard the commotion, went to investigate. Shortly after he entered the store, he exchanged gunfire with the suspect. The business owner was shot during the altercation.
The injured man was taken to a hospital and his condition is unknown at this time.
The suspect fled the store without any money, and it is not known if he was injured during the shooting.
