An educator in Spring Hill ISD has resigned. The school district confirms that this comes amid allegations of misconduct between educator and student.
A statement released by the District's Superintendent, Steven Snell, states that an investigation is underway regarding the incident.
Carlon O'Neil is a grandmother of two Spring Hill ISD students. She moved her family to Spring Hill because of the District's premier reputation.
"It's very surprising to hear that there is a misconduct allegation between an adult and a student," O'Neil said. "I hope their is a fair investigation, because someone isn't telling the truth."
The Texas Education Agency and Longview Police have been notified of this allegation.
District officials have not released the name of the educator. When we receive more details on this investigation we will update this article.
