70-acre wildfire contained in Shelby County

The Texas A&M Forest Service says the fire is now 100% contained.

SHELBY COUNTY, Texas — Fire departments responded to a large wildfire in Shelby County Tuesday night. 

According to the San Augustine District – Texas A&M Forest Service, the blaze spanned 70 acres. The branch of the forest service serves San Augustine, Sabine and Shelby counties.

The Texas A&M Forest Service says the fire is now 100% contained.
