The community continues to rally around Kayla's family after the devastating loss of their 10-year-old family member.

Kayla went missing from a Bullard church on Nov. 1 and her body wasn't found until Saturday, after a lead led investigators to a well on a family member's property.

Prayer vigils were held Sunday night in her honor:

More events were announced Monday. Students at Robert E. Lee High School are supporting the family by wearing pink and during lunch breaks can write condolence letters to the Gomez-Orozco family. A balloon release is set for 4:20 p.m. at the football field and everyone is invited.

Additionally, Newk's cafe in Tyler announced that 10% of today's sales will go to the Gomez-Orozco family.

Donations are being accepted on the "Help Find Kayla Gomez" Facebook page, where a youcaring website has been established.

Regions Bank in Tyler is also accepting monetary donations for the Kayla Gomez Fund.
