East Texans reacted to the death or a 1-year-old boy was found dead inside of a car in Burleson on Saturday.

The death marks the first heat-related infant death in Texas this year and is a trend one East Texas parent, Amanda Tierrablanca, said needs to come to an end.

"Just get them one at a time. it's worth it. it's a child's life," said Tierrablanca.

Authorities in Burleson believe the child's death was the result of a terrible accident and mix-up between parents.

Texas led the nation last year in the number of infant deaths caused by heat stroke.
