The Storm Prediction Center had issued a moderate risk of severe weather for portions of East Texas and an enhanced risk for the rest of the region. Storms fired up across a large section of the country Friday afternoon into Saturday morning. A total of 32 tornadoes were reported in East Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Missouri during the time period. On top of the tornadoes we also had over 150 reports of large hail and thunderstorm wind damage as well.

The National Weather Service in Shreveport, LA has had a very busy few days. They have confirmed 15 total tornadoes so far across the ArkLaTex. They have confirmed an EF-1 tornado and an EF-0 so far in East Texas. They have also confirmed and EF-2 tornado in Louisiana in Bienville Parish with estimated winds of 115 MPH.

They have confirmed a EF-0 tornado in Harrison County 6 Miles southwest of Waskom that tore a roof of a barn and took down many large tree branches. They are currently working on a tornado survey for the EF-1 tornado that touched down near Diana Friday night, they have confirmed it as an EF-1 tornado, but have yet to release the details of their finding. They are continuing to survey areas in Harrison county near Ore City for the possibility of confirming more tornadoes. We will bring you the latest on any surveys when we get the reports from the NWS.
