Business leaders from across East Texas came together Tuesday for the Business Solutions Conference, One Day, One Location, Endless Collaboration.

As a part of the event, the Longview Chamber also handed out the Small Business Awards at a luncheon. Dana Hughey served as emcee, helping recognize deserving small business winners. All of the businesses honored are not just hardworking small business owners and employees, they give back so much more in volunteer hours and serve many non-profits in the community.

Here is a list of the Small Business Award Winners:

  • 2017 Entrepreneur of the Year - Roughneck Harley
  • 2017 Minority Owned Business of the Year - Fullman & Lawrence Insurance Agency
  • 2017 Family Owned Business of the Year - Gill Electric
  • 2017 Small Business of the Year- Central Title Company

This year's keynote speaker was David A.R. White. He is an actor, producer and businessman. White shared his story of early success as an actor on the sitcom, Evening Shade, but he also shared his failures. You may be familiar with his work, God's Not Dead, among many others. White says his dream was bigger than him and one that he says God led him to produce faith-based movies. Now he is a partner in Pure Flix, the largest faith based studio in the world.
