Every dog has his day, and for one dog it was his lucky day.

On Thursday, Longview Animal Control officers found a dog shot with an arrow. The dog was rushed to the hospital for surgery.

Medical staff say he not only survived his injuries, but he hasn't stopped wagging his tail.

Because of the arrow, medical staff decided to name him Robin Hood. The next stop for him is a good home.

Longview Police are still looking for those responsible for Robin Hood's injuries. If you know Robin Hood's owner or have any information, you're asked to contact Longview Police or Gregg County Crime Stoppers.
