Man sets fire to home because he didn't get his medication, disability checks

Cody Colley, a 38-year-old East Texas man, was arrested after setting fire to his home on Saturday at 482 County Road 2473.

According to authorities, Colley told Investigator, Dennis Findley he set the house on fire because he did not receive his medications or disability checks.

Colley was arrested and charged with arson of a habitation, a first degree felony.

He was booked into the Hopkins County Jail without incident and later moved due to mental issues.

According to authorities, he threatened the jail along with its staff members.

Colley's bond is set $75,000. Refresh for updates.
