Meals on Wheels Ministry (MOWM) announced this morning that meal delivery would be suspended today to Meals on Wheels recipients living in Van Zandt County. After the brutal storms that traveled through the area Saturday, many roads are impassable or dangerous and could pose significant threat to the well-being of Meals on Wheels drivers and volunteers in that area.

"Our clients should use their shelf-stable, emergency meals today," said MOWM CEO Mr. Mike Powell. "We deliver two of these meals each year in order to make sure our clients have what they need on days just like today, when weather interrupts our normal delivery schedule."

Meals on Wheels Ministry serves about 3,000 clients daily in 30 communities throughout six counties in East Texas.
