Officers from the Lufkin Police Department are investigating and searching for the suspect involved in a robbery that happened on Sunday morning shortly after 10 a.m. at a local Walmart Money Center

According to police, the suspect walked into the store, got a Gatorade and walked toward the Money Center.

He eventually approached the clerk at the counter, placing down his drink, money to pay for it and a note. The suspect told the clerk to "stay calm" and pointed to the note that said she needed to hand over all the cash or she would be shot.

The clerk gave him an undisclosed amount of cash and left the store calmly at around 10:30 a.m..

Once he went outside, the suspect ran down to his vehicle in the pack of the parking lot and drove away.

He is described as a thin, black male with a mustache that runs down into a beard with tattoos on both hands.
