Can you imagine what it's like to be homeless?
Close to 150 volunteers in East Texas are going to give it a try. It's an event called "One night without a home". The East Texas Human Needs Network and Salvation Army work together on this event.
The people participating meet up at the Salvation Army where they have dinner and give up their electronics.
From there they walk to Fun Forest park, where they use blankets and cardboard boxes to camp out.
During the night there will be a candlelight vigil to honor those who lost their lives while experiencing homelessness.
In the morning they will head back to the Salvation Army to end their experience.
The goal is to raise more awareness for the homeless population.
