November 2nd is National Stress Awareness Day. The American Psychological Association says that stress is a major problem in the United States.

With so much to do, in so little time, it can be hard to deal with stress.

Melissa Eads is the owner of Well Kneaded Massage Therapy in Longview. She says many times a simple massage is the answer.

"It helps with headaches, it helps with moods, it helps you sleep better, so massages are one great way for stress management," Eads says.

She says when at work or on the go, try this simple trick..

"You can just close your eyes and take your mind out of that cubicle and start counting, pay attention to your breathing," Eads says.

If you like more fast paced exercise try Zumba or dancing. It's important to slow down in this fast paced world we are living in."

Buying a pet fish is also a great way to relieve stress."It's just the movement that calms your nerves," Owner of Wet Pets N Critters Laura Borens tells us. "Its been proven to reduce anxiety."

People also forget that kids and even babies can have stress. Eads says learning how to crawl can cause babies stress.

Everyone gets stressed, but it's how you handle it that matters. So remember just relax and let it go.
