It has been a difficult year for Texas. Through Hurricane Harvey and now Sunday's horrific mass shooting, Texans have shown when one of us is down we are here for one another.

On August 25th, Hurricane Harvey landed in Texas. Sixty-three people lost their lives, thousands of injuries and experts say the storm could cause up to 190 billion dollars in damage.

Then on Sunday, a man took the lives of 26 people and injured dozens inside of First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs.

Making it the deadliest mass shooting in Texas history.

Through both of those disasters Texans tell me it doesn't matter what happens, Texans take care of Texans.

“We are here for one another and know no disaster or shooting can stop the Texas spirit,” Felipe Gonzalez says.
