Tyler Junior College Police are investigating two reported sexual assaults on campus.
One report was filed on Sept. 11 after a student living in the Crossroads Dormitory called campus police about 11 p.m. and told them she was forced to perform sexual acts by an unknown black male subject.
Rebecca Sanders, TJC director of public affairs and media relations, said an arrest had not been made and the investigation was ongoing.
No alerts were sent out to students after this incident, as the campus police did not believe there was an immediate threat.
The second incident involved a report of a sexual assault in a campus dorm on Sept. 28. TJC Police said they received the report about that incident on Wednesday, according to an alert sent to the campus community.
In the alert, which was sent about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, police urged people to be cautious with strangers. They did not specify the exact location of the reported assault in the alert.
