It's the 19th annual Ton of Toys toy drive.

Local radio personality Jammin' Jimmy Olson camps out in a pod until he collects at least 2,000 pounds of toys and 200 bicycles.

The toys are then donated to Toys for Tots, CASA, and th Smith County Child Welfare Board. The rest is then distributed to the Salvation Army and area churches and organizations.

Olson says he does this because it's the right thing to do.

"This is what it's all about. Coming together to hep those who can't help themselves." Olson said.

At the end of the day 4 on Monday Olson has collected about 800 pounds of toys and 20 bicycles.

He is collecting the toys in the Walmart parking lot, just off of South Broadway Avenue in Tyler.
