Two people were transported to area hospitals, after their vehicles collided head-on Sunday.
According to Jackson Heights Volunteer Fire Department, personnel responded to a report of a crash on FM 2767 shortly after 2 a.m.
The incident involved a pickup truck and a small passenger car that crashed head-on, sending the pickup off the road and trapping the driver of the car.
The driver of the car was extracted from the vehicle and airlifted to ETMC Tyler. The driver of the truck was transported to Mother Francis by ground.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
