UPDATE: Gladewater has lifted their boil water notice after a water sample was tested and came back clear.

UPDATE: The boil water notice in Gladewater is continuing until it is confirmed that the water is safe for consumption.

Water department staff indicated that the notice might continue for the next several days until test samples are brought back.

Water customers around town and on further points from the supply will still have issues with water pressure and possible discoloration of their water until the system is returned to normal storage levels.

The system is being continuously monitored by water staff and residents will be continuously notified with anymore updates.

The City of Gladewater is issuing a Boil Water Notice until further notice due to low water pressure brought on by two major water main breaks within their distribution center.

Gladewater PWS customers are being notified to boil their water prior to consuming it to ensure the destruction of all harmful bacteria or microbes.

When it is no longer necessary to boil water before its consumption, water system officials will let individuals know that it is safe to consume.
