Woman driving car taken to hospital after crashing into post office in Bullard

According to a witness, no one was injured inside the post office.

TYLER, Texas — A car crashed into a US post office in Bullard Thursday afternoon.

According to a witness who was inside of the post office, the crash happened between 1:30 and 2 p.m. A woman driving the car pulled into the disable parking and possibly stepped on the gas instead of the brake. The car jumped over the concrete barrier and smashed into the wall.

Three or four customers and two employees were in the post office at the time of the service. The witness also mentioned the woman was in shock as her car was still running and the tires were burning.

Witness said she made her way out of the building and put the woman's car into park. The woman was taken to a local hospital.

As for the people inside the building, the witness said they were showered with glass and debris, but nobody was injured.

The post service building has a large gap of about 10 to 12 feet tall and 10 to 12 feet high where the car crashed into.

The post office is going to try to patch the hole up with plywood and then have police officers patrolling the area this evening.
