A Gregg County Jury indicted Cody Dewayne Fortman on one count of murder in connection with a homicide that happened in Longview in October 2017.

Police say Fortman shot Nicholas Trevion Johnson, 22, multiple times inside a house on Annette Drive on Oct. 15. Fortman was identified as the suspect through cooperation with witnesses.

Johnson was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Fortman remains in the Gregg County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
