One person was killed in a wreck on a Smith County road over the weekend.
According to a DPS preliminary report, a GMC Sierra towing a boat trailer was stopped and blocking southbound lanes on Highway 155 around 8:45 p.m. on Nov. 25. A Ford Escape also traveling southbound on Highway 155 struck the stopped vehicle, causing the stopped vehicle to hit a pedestrian standing beside it.
The pedestrian, 44-year-old Jason Brandon Lyons of Tyler, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The GMC Sierra driver, 39-year-old Elizabeth Ann Arnold, and the Ford driver, 49-year-old Terri Lynn Flusche were both taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
