The bus driver involved in the Rusk ISD school bus accident on Oct. 20 will no longer drive buses for the school district, according to the Rusk ISD superintendent, Dr. Scott W. Davis.

Robert Rogers was determined at fault for the accident that sent seven students to area hospitals on Thursday with minor injuries. All students were treated and released the same day.

"I really appreciate the first responders and the older children on the bus that helped calm the younger students during the incident," Davis said.

Rogers was terminated as a bus driver, but is still employed at Rusk ISD as a student teacher.
