TYLER - The Lee girls basketball team is off to a pretty good start this year. The Lady Raiders went 10-3 in non-district play. But on Tuesday night, things got much more important for Lee as they kicked off 11-6A district play.

Lee was the only one of our 3 teams to open district play at home. The Lady Raiders hosted Rockwall-Heath and while it was close, Lee was in control of this game from the 2nd quarter on. The Lady Raiders led by 8 at the half and they went on to beat Rockwall-Heath 54-42.

Our other two 11-6A girls teams opened district play on the road. And it was a rough night for both of them. John Tyler lost to Rockwall 58-33 and Longview fell to Mesquite Horn 74-51.
