This is a big week for the TJC Men's and Women's soccer teams. They both are playing in the NJCAA National Tournament and they were both one win away from making it to the National Semifinals.

The Men's team is playing on their home turf and on Wednesday, they played their 2nd Pool play game against Trinidad State. TJC actually trailed 1-0 in the 2nd half, but thanks to two late goals, they came back to win 2-1.

With the win, TJC wins Pool A and for the 8th straight year, they move on to the National Semifinals. The Apaches will take on San Jacinto in the semis and that game will be Friday at 3:30 at TJC.

The TJC Women's soccer team also wrapped up Pool play on Wednesday. They had their hands full with Iowa Western, but 4 minutes into overtime, O'Shay Nelson scored the game-winner to give the Apache Ladies a 2-1 win.

TJC finishes Pool play with a perfect 2-0 record and they win Pool D. That puts the Apache Ladies into the National Semifinal for the first time since 2012.

In that round, they'll play Laramie county with a trip to the title game on the line. That game will be Friday at 7:00 p.m. in Melbourne, Florida.
