TYLER - Two-time Super Bowl champion Deion Sanders took part in a charity shopping spree Tuesday morning at Sam’s Club in Tyler. Sanders and his family had two minutes to grab as many items as they could throughout the store. The merchandise was donated to the Salvation Army, which will then be given to the victims of the Canton tornadoes.

The Salvation Army partnered with RetailMeNot in order to facilitate the event.

Sanders stated that it “was a blessing” to be there. He went on to say, “Giving is everything. It’s better to give than to receive. We understand that there’s a need, and if we’re blessed enough to meet the need, than why not.”

When the shopping spree was all said and done, Sanders and his family grabbed $9,991.64 worth of merchandise.
