HALLSVILLE - All around East Texas, high schools are gearing up for the 2017-2018 season. That means plenty of camps are being held through out the region. Today Cameron Frosch of "The Kicking Unit" came to Hallsville to help train high school kickers and punters on how to perfect their craft.
"Our goal is to take a kid who has never been exposed to kicking maybe who has a soccer background or really any other sport and show them the fundamentals and trying to get him to the next level," says Frosch.
For coach Frosch, kickers and punters play an important role on the field but can sometimes be overlooked. However, it's one position that can determine the outcome of a game.
"These guys take it pretty serious out here so anything that I can do to contribute to a team winning a game, state titles, or national championships that's what it's all about and what I'm here to do," explains Frosch.
But at the end of the day it's not just about preparing these young kickers and punters for the next level it's also about having a good time while learning.
"Really, I want them to come into the camp looking for a good time have fun at what they're doing and really just have a good experience out here and learn something new something that they can take to their game on Friday nights," says Frosch.
