TYLER - We focus a lot on the high school volleyball teams in Tyler. But now that district play is underway, we left the city limits on Tuesday night to check out a couple of district matches outside of town.

At Chapel Hill, it was a 15-4A showdown as the Lady Bulldogs hosted Bullard. Chapel Hill honored head coach Linda Godwin for her 700th career win and her team got off to a quick start. But in the end, Bullard was too much and they got the sweep (25-10, 25-16, 25-15).

Over in Tatum, the Lady Eagles took on Center. This match was also dominated by one team as Tatum took care of business. The Lady Eagles are ranked 25th in the state and showed why on Tuesday as they swept Center.

As for the 2 big Tyler teams, Lee was at Mesquite and the Lady Raiders get the sweep (25-23, 25-22, 25-20).

JT was at home and it's been a tough start to district play for the Lady Lions...they get swept by Rockwall-Heath (25-3, 25-6, 25-8).
