CROCKETT - When we spoke to Tenaha head coach Craig Horn earlier this week, he made it sound like the Tigers would face a stiff test in the semifinals against Burton.

And while the Panthers did their best to keep the game close, the Tigers were just way too much to handle.

Tenaha got several big plays from both Onterio Thompson and Trai Gardner throughout the game. Gardner did a lot of his damage early, leading the Tigers to a 20-10 halftime lead. Then Thompson took over in the 2nd half and Tenaha pulled away to get the 60-22 win.

After the game, Tenaha head coach Craig Horn said, "We'll cherish it for tonight, put it to bed in the morning, and we'll get back to work ready to win one more."

Tenaha (15-0) is now in the state championship game for the first time since 2012. That's where they'll face Muenster (15-0). That game will be Thursday (Dec. 21) at 11:00 AM at AT&T Stadium.
