TYLER- The Tyler Junior College baseball team brought out the brooms on Sunday afternoon. The Apaches swept Coastal Bend, and TJC now stands at a perfect 3-0 in conference play.
In game one, TJC erupted for four runs in the bottom of the 3rd, featuring a 2-run dinger by Taylor Broadway. The Apaches would go on to defeat the Cougars 13-7. Keith Long picked up the win on the mound. Long went six innings and struck out six batters.
In game two, TJC defeated Coastal Bend 6-3. Broadway would end up picking up the save.
Next up for the Apaches is a three game series at LSU Eunice beginning Friday April 27th.
