TYLER - The University of Texas at Tyler will present its sixth annual physical education workshop Friday, Oct. 7.
The all-day event begins at 8:30 a.m. in the UT Tyler Herrington Patriot Center’s Patriot Gym. Cost is $75 for educators and professionals, and cost for college students enrolled in teacher certification programs is $40.

This year’s featured clinician is Chad Triolet, the 2011 National Association of Sport and Physical Education’s ‘National Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the Year.’
“Chad focuses on best practices in health and physical education,” UT Tyler professor Dr. Wycliffe Njororai Simiyu said. “He is presently serving as president of Virginia’s state Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, illustrating his strong commitment to the importance of professional development and advocating for strong physical education programs in schools. We welcome Chad to the East Texas area.”
Triolet brings more than 20 years of physical education teaching experience along with years of presentation experience throughout his home state of Virginia and the nation.
