90 Day Challenge Week 2: Justin's Update

TYLER (KYTX) -- It's been about a week and a half since Gillian and I started our 90 day challenge with XTC Fitness and Sports and Let's Cook. It's a complete overhaul of our fitness routines and nutrition.  I have been working out regularly for years but I had a hiccup with a broken leg last year and I packed on some pounds.  And like many guys my age fast food and snacks provide plenty of temptation. 

We're doing intense 45 minute workouts three days a week with Tony Cruz of XTC that work on our strength, range of motion, endurance and more.  These workouts burn plenty of calories and make us (me) sweat a lot (ask Gillian who sits in my terrible puddles without ever complaining).  Am I sore? Mmmmmmm.... YES!   But that's how you know it's working.  My energy level is steady. And overall when I wake up in the morning I just feel good.   

The food we're eating consists of a lot of vegetables and lean protein.  Craig Barlow with Let's Cook has come up with some innovative meals (the bison wrap might  be my favorite). It tastes great and I don't feel weighed down after eating it. There are even some cookies and as anyone who has ever set foot inside our CBS19 studios will tell you... I LOVE COOKIES. Before we started on May 19th I weighed in at 203 lbs. and I haven't weighed myself again since then. But people have told me they've already noticed a difference in my face and clothes.
