TYLER (KYTX) -- It's week six and for now I'm done with traveling so it's time to get back to work. I'm settled back into my routine but really and truly, it's not a "routine" routine. Tony Cruz at XTC is changing up our workouts, ramping up the weight we're working with, and increasing the intensity level of our daily drills. I'm still working on my coordination but I'm definitely noticing improvements in the strength department. We took a strength and endurance test using a stationary bike, elliptical machine and an arm bike this week. My strength and consistency definitely improved from the last time we took one of these.
One of the biggest things I'm noticing is that I'm not experiencing nearly as much pain or weakness in my right leg (the one I broke last year). All the strength training is seriously paying off in ways I never expected. I'm still running like John Bates from Downton Abbey but it's getting easier.
As for the food I am constantly tempted to fall back into my old patterns. Constantly. Like Sleeping Beauty and the spinning wheel... only the spinning wheel is a stuffed crust double meat double cheese pizza. And I wouldn't stick my finger on it so much as fall into it ... with my mouth. It's not even a matter of being hungry because I'm eating plenty of nutritious food. This is just about snacking out of habit. Fortunately Gillian, co-workers, and friends are encouraging me to make the right choices.
