Rain Causing Flooding and Road Closures in East Texas

Heavy rains across the East Texas area are causing road flooding and road closures.  We have reports of the following road conditions:

Van Zandt County

Flooded Roads:

  • CR 2112
  • 110 North by Pruitt Church
  • FM 1995 off 773
  • CR 4708
  • CR 4702
  • CR 110
  • CR1502
  • CR 4522 off 1995

Closed Roads:

  • CR 1806

Smith County

Closed Roads:

  • CR 426
  • CR 452
  • CR 446 - extensive damage to road and it will remain closed until repairs can be done

Flooded Roads:

  • CR 448 - can be traveled with caution up to the intersection with CR 446

Flooded Roads:

  • CR 426 - water over the bridges
  • CR 452 - water over the bridges

Wood County

Closed Roads:

  • FM 515 west of Winnsboro
  • FM 69 (NOT U.S. Hwy. 69)
  • FM 312

A rescue was reported by the Wood County Sheriffs Department due to flooding.  Overall, Wood County is reporting over 30 road floodings and/or closures. 

Titus County

Closed Roads:

  • State Hwy. 67
  • FM 127
  • Intersection of FM 3417 and 271
  • FM 1993 north of I-30

Approximately 40 Titus County roads are flooded at this time
