Texas Rangers investigating after Camp County district clerk audit

Posted: Updated:

CAMP COUNTY (KYTX) - Texas Rangers have been called in to investigate following an audit of the Camp County district clerk's office.

Following the audit, Camp County district clerk Mignon Cook resigned, stating personal reasons, on October 29, and the chief deputy in the clerk's office, Brenda Kindle, resigned Monday. Cook had served in her position since 2005.

Former district clerk Doloria Bradshaw will fill the vacancy during the interim until next year's election. She previously served as district clerk for 28 years.
