
Many of you have seen the movie "Catch Me if You Can" starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
In the movie, an FBI agent tracks down and catches a young con artist who successfully impersonated an airline pilot, doctor, assistant Attorney General and history professor. He cashed more than $2.5 million in fraudulent checks in 26 countries.
Well, there's a similar story in East Texas.
A woman who is now in the Smith County jail has used dozens of aliases, has allegedly run scams in multiple states and left a wake of victims and taken an untold amount of money.
She's allegedly passed herself as a trust fund baby in most of her scams, and has at least 35 aliases.
