DALLAS, TX (KYTX) - It was a record growing season for one particular agricultural crop, marijuana.
According to the Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division, nearly 62,000 pot plants were seized in 2009.
That is the most ever eradicated in Texas.
A big part of the record seizure in Texas was uncovered just south of Dallas in Ellis and Navarro counties in September when law enforcement agencies destroyed more than 16,000 plants.
