
TYLER (KYTX) - A 47 year old Dallas man has been sentenced to federal prison for a July 15th bank robbery in the Eastern District of Texas.
Freddy Lee Criss pleaded guilty to bank robbery on July 15, 2009, and was sentenced to 85 months in federal prison today by U.S. District Judge Michael Schneider.
According to information presented in court, on Apr. 30, 2009, Criss entered the First National Bank of Emory in Emory, Texas, ordered a bank customer to the floor, demanded cash from the tellers and fled the bank with U.S. Currency. Criss was indicted by a federal grand jury on May 6, 2009, and charged with federal bank robbery violations.
