ALTON, TX (CBS) - A pregnant South Texas woman is being hailed a hero after stopping some teenagers from beating a police officer.
Dash camera videotape from the Alton, Texas police officer's car shows a group of teens beating on the police officer, who is on the ground and out of frame.
Angela Gutierrez was coming down the street with her husband and child and saw the commotion.
She jumped out of their vehicle and ran over to get the teens away from the officer.
Gutierrez, who is nine-months pregnant, says it was a gut reaction.
The officer is recovering at home.
Three teens have been arrested.
